Hi Daz, good luck on your new drive. There's a fair bit of info on these threads now so hopefully you will find something useful.
In a nutshell you have to sort out a suitable training programme which meets your goals(fitness, weightloss, muscle building whatever) and also overhaul your diet to cut out the beer etc.
As you know Karate so well, maybe this can be your main activity followed by some gym work if you feel you need it.
Set yourself some achievable short term goals which help to your long term goal.
all the best
Paul.

I trained last night too, for the first time since 19th Dec. Man, I can't walk. I always tell myself to take it easy, but I get carried away . I'm paying the price today and will continue to do so for the next few days

ggeeeeeessssssss how hard is it to get out of bed on a sunday morning and go training .
the amout of times i said to myself last night and this morning i dont think i will go or i will give it a miss..
but i dragged my ass out off bed and went i cant tell you how good i feel .
i overcame a big hurdel last night i did not have a drink of alcohol witch is massive for me
its early days yet.
but my instructor was pleased with the effort i put in and to get praise from him is pretty good.
cheers all for now
