Granada Scorpio Cosworth owners...
It seems we are often overlooked
But what fantastic cars! 24v Cossie V6, an acre of leather, air con, cruise control, computer, swing-a-cat space, electric everything... they're like gin palaces on wheels and cost less than a rusty Saph Cos with a blown engine
Any other board members drive one of these beautiful barges?

Hi, just registered today, nice to find 24V scorpio mentioned. i've had mine for about 4 years. need the rs bodykit for it if anyone knows where to get one. i thought the performance was mediocre at best, maybe the box was shagged, but i bought it for a transplant anyway. after 4 years and a fair bit of cash it now has..........5.7litre chevy small block V8,alloy trick flow heads, edelbrock intake, holley avenger carb, msd ignition and distributor, 4 branch headers, twin 2.5" stainless exhaust with flowmaster silencers, steel flywheel, cossy T5 box, hydraulic clutch, spax suspension, polybushed, 17" mercedes amg replica alloys, sparco torino seats and wheel, nordskog digital gauges, plus lots more bits i can't even remember.
am fitting a jag diff into rear beam at moment, then need tremec tko600 gearbox so driveline will stand up to a vortech centrifugal supercharger. its superquick at present but nothings ever quick enough once you get the bug........cheers

Shame you chucked out the best bit though, the engine.
No really, yes they are strangled by Ford (engine was designed my messrs Costin and Duckworth to be 300bhp normally aspirated) and yes the Autobox is pants, but they are amazing value second hand.
Ł31,000 new, including the optional leather, and 10 years and 100,000 miles later you can get a good one for Ł1,000.
Beat that, bang per buck.
(having said that I just bought a Saff Cos 4x4 and the Granny is up for sale )

My XR4X4 needs rings, so I think an engine swap is on the cards.

Oh, yes, I own a Granada Scorpio Cosworth, nicknamed the Silver Bullet, I shall post pics on here soon. It is a bit of a restoration project for me, as the bodywork needs help, I am currently respraying a blue bumper to match the silver finish, so I can fit it and get it looking good. I have also replaced the bonnet, as it had a huge dent in it when I bought the car, it is currently black, so I need to go mad with the spray can as well on there.
Apart from that, it is the usual bits of brown stuff under the rear wheel arches, but overall it isnt in bad nick. Shifts like shit off a shovel as well!
Roy.

I had J reg hatchback in white for a couple of years in my early 20's. Got a lot of snarky comments about old mans car and that, but I loved it. Went sideways just lovely when using the first gear only. Drifting wasn't an issue either. I remember coming back from Birmingham after picking up some family at the airport. Fully loaded boot, 5 up with the arse on the deck. Had a play with a saxo, vts or vtr I do not remember, but we gave it a welly full and as it showed 120 on the speedo he ran out of steam. We carried on to an indicated 145. Indicated remember. Either way, it was effortless and comfortable. But I bet it was some sight coming past other traffic. Not bad for Ł700.

Thanks for your comment just brought mine sore it on a drive for three years kept walking past so I knocked on and got it for 300 the engine is immaculate just needs tidying up a little under there . It's a white hatch the paint needs bringing back to life new calipers discs and pads back window seal also a new back box and the alloys refurbed that's all I can see the interiors great to cant wait to get it on the road it's an ex police car so I'm hoping its tuned to little bit of elbo grease n I'm sure it will be worth it.

Time to break mine unfortunately so if anyone needs any parts for theirs give me a call interior is good alloys good engine is a dream and all parts will be cheap as want to keep as many alive as possible. Just can't justify money on it and also starting a family doesn't help. Give us a call 07833291863 jon
