Fitting a 3bar map sensor
Hi, currently running a level 6 ecu with MSD stage 1 chip and the usal stage 1 stuff. Got my boost set to 14 psi but on quick acceleration the boost creeps slightly above 14psi so ive bought a 3bar map sensor to be on the safe side so it reads the boost at all times.
Fitted the 3bar map sensor and the engine seems to miss under load now, put the 2 bar sensor back on and it goes back to normal (no missing)
Tried my mates 3bar map sensor on my car and it does the same, tried my new 3 bar 1 on his car and his is spot on.
Is it a straight swap or is there more to it?
Thanks

For stage 1 the standard 2 BAR item is used, I would swap back immediately before you do some damage.
The boost you mention is likely to be a peak where it 'creeps'.
Also is it genuine Weber, don't buy the cheap electronic rubbish out there as they are inaccurate!

^^ This, the scales are completly different, it's not just a simple case of fitting another sensor.

This is why i was asking the question bout putting the 3bar 1 on as i was unsure weather it wasnt possible or there was a fault with my car. Im glad you's have cleared that up for me thanks.
Aww well ill have to try for a refund or sell it on here.
Thanks again.
