this car that i'm givign to beefy to srap/chop up, i can't find the log book for it so i can't send it off to say it's being scraped

neither can i figure out how to declare it sorn as the thing is supposed ot have turned up at my house to give me the number si need to put into the computer

and everytime i call the dvla, some fuckwit on a computer tells me that i must talk to tha automated service

so how do i get it sorted?
or do i just say bollocks to it and wait till the fines come through the door

Do you have the new keepers bit of the logbook from when you got it mate? The numbers to declare it SORN are on there

Not entirely the same thing but i wrote a letter to the DVLA informing them of a change of ownership of a car because i kept recieving fines etc for it not being taxed. Sold it to a "mate" who just fucked around and never registered it or sorted it out, was sick of getting reminders about it. Got a letter of confirmation back and that was it sorted. P.s if you read this "mate" you'll know the car. There's probably an address on the website for this.

write the a letter explaning that you have lost the log book and you have scrapped the vehicle! and post it to them.

I'm doing the same, stripped a Mk4 Fiesta this morning and going to run it up to the scrappies tomorrow. . . . my local scrapyard inform the DVLA of the vehicle being destroyed and you cannot run a car into them without the registration number.

ive just recieved a 80 pound fine for a car i had 4 yrs ago that the guy had the engine out of and scrapped and i dont know him or where he lives anymore how do i go about getting rid of the fine?

the only stipulation our loacal scrappy has wen weighing in a car is that , if the cars complete i.e rolling with an engine in it then u must produce the v5


however if you removed the same engine and slung it in the boot they dnt need nothing ,


either way dojj i wouldnt worry , you wont be reciving any speeding fines


well not unless they have a camera that spots a sierra floorpan in a mk 3 pmsl !!!!!

If you do write to the DVLA, send it recorded delivery, the amount of letters/V5's that get 'lost' by the dvla or on route to the dvla is unbeleiveable!

right then, sorted the trailer and sorted a day off to return the trailer

which means i'm going to checking into the beefy hotel either friday or saturday, with hot and cold running parmo etc

now, where did i put my driving license, wihtout which i can't get the trailer
